Purex plus Oxi Review and Giveaway

I had the pleasure of receiving a bottle of Purex plus Oxi to review. It came in a lovely box that my son thought was for him. So I said ‘yes’ and he asked that I take a picture of him holding it.

It’s funny the things that can make a 4 year old really happy :)

I am already a fan of Purex products and use them to wash my family’s clothing all the time. But what gets me is those darn stains that will literally appear out of no where.

I can understand my son clothes with all kinds of weird stains on it, but I’m pretty careful. So when a mystery stain appears on my favorite shirt, you can bet I’ll be a little upset. With this opportunity to use Purex plus Oxi, perhaps their most powerful laundry detergent yet. I was excited to see if I can get my shirt back. Oh and I threw in my son’s jeans just for fun.

Now these stains have been on these clothes for AGES…. nothing and I mean nothing gets them out. I tried all kinds of stain removers but for no reason that I can think of they will not come out.

You can totally see the stains in question in the above picture.

Upon opening the bottle, the smell of this laundry detergent really took me because it didn’t smell like any of my other liquid laundry detergents. It actually smelled like shampoo, the kind I’d like to wash my hair in :)

After indulging in the scents of Purex plus Oxi, I applied it onto the stains for 5 mins then washed a load with the same detergent.  Unfortunately the stains were still there, but I honestly think they are a tad lighter. I have no idea what the stains are if nothing will get them out! I’m starting to think that because they’ve been there forever and through so many washes already that they are here to stay.

BUT and there is a but, Purex plus Oxi DID remove the stains out of my PJ’s from the ‘early’ month gift. I hate loosing clothes to those types of stains. Of course I didn’t take any pics. I didn’t want to gross anyone out. My PJ’s were SAVED.

So with that said I did enjoy having my clothes washed with this awesome liquid laundry detergent. It totally got the blood stains out of my pajamas and my clothes smell amazing, fresh even.

I think you will happy with this detergent if you like stain removing power of normal everyday stains and fresh smelling clothes. Visit purexlaundry.ca for more information on this product and more.
